Both anime are from the sports genre and feature colleagues having a sports club in their workplace/school. Ryman's club is an older version of haikyuu but with badminton. The characters in both anime are well-written and the artstyle is modern.

Both shows have distinct world building, featuring two factions. In both stories, the main characters are people who had suffered from the internal conflicts, and stoically tries to find the right solution for this conflicted predicament.

The setting in both movies is almost identical, The Deer King is more focused on politics and the scientific approach of the featured plague, while Mononoke has more grand, and impactful impression.

I'm fairly certain King Gainer was influenced by Jojo, or at least is influenced by the type of Manga that it stems from. King Gainer has that flavor of procedural battles, that are all oriented around strange gimmick powers that the characters have, how those gimmicks bounce off of various elements like the environment, or the personalities of the fighters, or how each gimmick stacks or counters other gimmicks. The characters also have that unhingedness that's required for a work like this. Ookouchi Ichirou (Code Geass, most famously) is also serving as writer on this series, so you'll get that kind of bombastic-ness. Pointing out all of these similarities to Jojo is strange to say though, considering that the director/creator of King Gainer is Tomino Yoshiyuki, who's been working in anime for longer than Jojo's even existed. As far as anime is concerned, Tomino is as old as they come. You might think of Jojo as a classic manga, older than dirt, but Tomino likely sees Jojo as a hot trend (in 2002) to try to take advantage of. It's like Tomino's the old guard, looking at Jojo and the manga like it, and trying to replicate it and modify it with his classical style, while retaining the appeal. The Jojo TV anime was a bit a letdown for me because of how un-adapted all of the fights were. It's composed of lots of stills that very directly display a beat-by-beat replica of the manga, with no room to have fun. Anime is ultimately a different medium than manga, and while the imagery can broadly be translatable, and I certainly am not a sakuga-freak that thinks everything needs to move all the time, the excitement of Jojo's manga was pretty badly deflated for me by this adaptation. Every shot in Jojo lingers for a second too long, just to make sure that you never miss any piece of visual information. It just reeks of manga adaptation, rather than feeling like a composed, flowing, video work. If you don't know what I mean and need a really direct example, rather than King Gainer, I'd recommend the Jojo OVA, which is really well-directed. This is what I mean by saying King Gainer feels more "classical". There's no source material, and even if there was, Tomino is not the kind of director to just lie down and directly adapt material. There's lots of interesting direction, a great sense of cinematic flow, rather than the boxed-in feel of the Jojo tv anime. Did you know that the famous cubes you see in action scenes these days are actually from this show? I'm not kidding, they're called "yutapon cubes", and this is the very first time that animator starting using them. This is the kind of show where a unique animator-based expression can crop up. This is what I mean when I say Tomino's directing is good. However, this is a recommendation with a lot of asterisks. If you don't like Jojo *that much, and get kind of annoyed with it when it's indulging too heavily in what it is, and wish it progressed more, or wasn't so monotonous, or had deeper characters, then King Gainer isn't going to be the answer to all your problems, but if you're curious about a show with a similar general vibe, I think I'd recommend it. Koyasu Takehito who plays Dio in Jojo, is also in King Gainer, playing a character that's pretty similar to Dio. It makes me wonder if he was type-cast as Dio because of this show. Then again, he may have just been type-cast based off of Zechs, from Gundam Wing, but then that would just mean he was being type-cast as machiavellian blondes, which is an archetype Tomino cemented anyway. Does that make Dio a Char-clone?

Overall, Death Note and Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudou are both well-written and engaging anime series that explore interesting themes. Both series explore the themes of power, morality, and the nature of good and evil.

Want a boring self-insert MC? A harem where girls mindlessly fall for the MC? Classic trope overkill? Incoherent worldbuilding? IseLeve and Smartphone Isekai fill that bill very well! While the MCs may be different (IseLeve features a fat guy who then finds himself in another world, while IseLeve is a reincarnation), they both boil down to extremely similar ideas and stories.

Any poor souls who have subjected themselves to something as trivial as Vampire Knight should really invest in watching The Case Study of Vaitas, it has vampires, hot men, and a speck of romance just like vampire knight does but better. The Case study of Vanitas has plot, good characters and decent comedy. The only issue is its not a dramatic love triangle like Vampire knight is but all well. Try it out, I cannot recommend it enough😙🥰

Magi is like a condensed version of One Piece set in quite a different setting with ensemble cast similar to One Piece. Alladin/Luffy have a strong sense of responsibility that is concealed by their carefree nature. Both are young, have a huge potential to become legendary heros and destined to posses god-like power in the future. Both have to go through ordeals although ordeals faced by Alladin pale in comparison to those faced by Luffy. In both anime, life energy serves as source of power although it is presented differently in both anime. Sindbad is Shanks. Kouen Ren is Whitebeard. Cassim is Ace. Judar is Blackbeard. There are so many comparable characters. Multiple kingdoms, war, politics, slavery, poverty, racism... So, much is common in both anime. However, the biggest similarity is that both seem to have a light hearted feel about them yet in reality are mature and dark enough to touch some series social and political issue present in our real world.

Easy to digest shows with clumsy gradeschoolers being handed powerful weapons (giant robot / ancient energy weapons respectively) to fight equally clumsy adversaries in mostly "monster of the week" fashion. Simple but memorable character designs you won't see in any other anime. Very rewatchable. Despite the over the top settings, both shows manage to have very well made final arcs that still stay true to the show's formula.

In terms of setting, art, story, genre etc. these shows share next to nothing. Still, both shows are essentially about being, or becoming, decent people, children and adults alike. Mrs Jo and her husband are the kind teachers, carefully standing in the back most of the time, guiding their pupils into becoming successful and believing in them. "Cooking Papa" Mr. Arawai does the same thing for his family and coworkers. Both shows also have some sad episodes, but also a very healthy portion of humor.

In both stories, the girl enters a relationship with an ikemen, starting from pretending to be in one. However, in both stories, the girl takes advantage of the ikemen, and as a result, the guy treats her like a pet. The ikemen falls in love with the protagonist in a convenient manner, and although both stories have a similar vibe, it is the "black prince" who actually treats his girlfriend like a pet. Despite initially acting like jerks, both ikemen eventually soften their hearts for the girl.

Both Cowboy Bebop and Akira are iconic anime from the 1990s, with a mature approach and narratives set in dystopian futures. Both works feature high-quality animation, memorable soundtracks and explore themes such as corruption, social inequality and the protagonists' journey in search of identity and redemption. Although they have different narrative approaches, Cowboy Bebop and Akira are milestones in the world of anime and have a special place in the history of the genre.

It does look inspired from Nisiosin's Monogatari series, and I'd say that Monogatari is a superior anime compared to Bunny Girl Senpai.

One girl and Two boys, one of the boys is away after making a huge impact on her, while the other is around supporting her dreams, the girl is dense yet cheerful and lovable. Both of the series have a competitive side to them, though in different majors, and the setting and the timeline are in high school.

main trinity and their dynamic with each other is nearly similar, and both series have uniquely charismatic and powerful mentor characters. Also, both series have dark comedy elements, and the storyline is surprising. Some character motivations and designs are similar too, and both series are one of my favorites because they have great and characteristic materials and great fight sequences, so these specialties give them both an original and brave tone.

Both Ryman's Club and Haikyuu are anime sports, but not only that, both animes have kinda of similar themes: the inspiration, dedication, and of course, the classical "not giving up". Other than World trigger I haven't found an anime that's similar to Hunter x Hunter in terms of the strategic and detailed planning of events- which is what I love most about hxh. Most other shounen are just fighting fighting and fighting. Whilst I love the fight scenes, I prefer anime with a goal that the characters fight for. I still prefer HxH more though hahahaha

Story all over the place to the extent you would imagine it's self-aware parody but it's certainly not and low budget CGI. Great movies if you're in the mood for all around terrible movies, so much that they are unintentionally funny.

Kinds and their tranforming mecha companions do stuff. Tobot is really a rip-off of Transformers, basically, so I guess you might enjoy it a bit if you like Transformers.

Akane Nishimura is literally just the less edgy version of Kyoutaru while Anna Yamada is a self-aware version of Taiyou Both series involve leads that are hyper-energetic and gloomy but the genders here are swapped. It also involves a person that is associated with death

Both series involve the main leads slowly progressive into a wholesome and idealistic romance. The main male lead for both series is blunt and straightforward, with little to no filter with their words. While the main leads for both are highly supportive, friendly, and somewhat possessive of their main lead love interest.

Both stories are concerned with taking care of a protagonist and improving their lives. Both also progressively hint at romance. Also, the main female lead is a long-haired blonde whose name is very close to the main female lead of Angel Next Door (Mashiro Shiina and Mahiru Shiina, respectively). Also, both girls are in high school and are quiet and angelic. Both leads live next door, in a technical sense.

Both series are concerned about living in a world without a God, and the MC got that. Except here, the concept is more sardonic than it is idealistic. It is also a comedy and surprisingly, not an isekai

Shadows House takes place in the same Victorian Era in Europe and follows a similar plot. Shadows House has: -Characters that are mean and seductive -Conflict between upperclassmen and the commoners -Protagonists that are blunt and straightforward, yet remain polite-sounding These themes are similar characteristically to our main lead, Raeliana, and Miss Vivian feels similar as well to Rosemary.

While I have not read the manwha, this anime feels like a complete opposite of Violet Evergarden, especially with Adam Taylor. If you like a similar story but is much more heartwarming, lighthearted, and less sadistic, I suggest giving Violet Evergarden a watch. It has a similar theme of looking for answers

Standing up for others and dealing with bullies, finding self confidence in midst of it. I believe both series focus on this topic and are rather well written. So if you are looking for series that deals with school bullying, these might be it.

if you are looking for another anime that basically has the Romeo and Juliet theme around it, like this one has, then Nisekoi is a great pick, although the way the romance flows is different. In Nisekoi you can enjoy more character development, it's a bit more serious, but it still remains an enjoyable rom-com.

Welcome to Demon School Ikruma-kun and Mashle are both fun comedy anime that I love and would recommend. Although the main characters are very different they along with the overall setting share similarities that I believe make each series a good recommendation. Similarities in Main Character - Mash and Iruma are both highschool aged boys that are powerless. They do not possess magic and they are just humans. Both of the go to a school full of people that can use magic and even fly while they cannot. Both characters quickly make friends and are overall kind people. They both hide their true identities because it is dangerous for others to know who they really are. Differences - Mash is a very nonchalant character and isn't too expressive while Iruma is much more fearful of his situation in the beginning. Although both characters are good people, Iruma is more inclined to help others and use kind language while Mash is more of a kuudere-esque character. He acts before he thinks and does not express much fear or anger even when he feels it. Mash has a good heart but does not go out of his way to say the kind of things that Iruma would to butter people up. Iruma is a regular human in a world of demons. He does not have his own power and much of his fear comes from that. Although Mash lives in a world full of magic users, his physical strength is incredible. Some may say he is very confident in his strength but Mash just tries to use it for everything without thinking about the consequences. The setting is similar in the way that both worlds are filled with characters that can use different kinds of magic. It is the norm to have powers and fly (with wings in Iruma-kun and a broom in Mashle). The MCs both climb the ranks at their respective schools although Mash does it for an overarching goal. Both shows are comedies and have likable characters and some good character development. I watched Mashle in sub and Welcome to Demon School in dub. I love the sub for Mashle although the dub in Iruma-kun is not the best of all the comedy anime that I have watched, it isn't Golden Time so 7/10 for me.

Both series feel familiar. They blend comedy and seriousness in a similar fashion that works really well. The cast is extremely charismatic in both cases. The story is good, you have the point of view from different opposed factions composed of likeable/agreeable characters.

They are both about main characters who others see as monsters, on a quest to regain the things that are most important to them. Both stories are about the main character delving into a strange mystery to overcome obstacles.

You can already tell that this anime and Blend S already give the similarities. The Cafe setting, usual misunderstandings, usual male protagonist, another bonus is when Azumi Waki (Shiragiku in Megami Cafe Terrace and Maika in Blend S) comes in and play the role of a cafe maid once again……. The only difference is that here, (Hayato) he’s encountering 5 female maids and almost going into harem mode and he doesn’t like the cafe and isn’t a pervy guy but the misunderstandings can lead to assuming him to be a pervert. In Blend S two guys get their own love on just one person so not really a harem moment and they don’t hate the cafe much. The male protagonist (Dino) can sometimes be pervy and just like I said, the misunderstandings can lead him to being assumed as a pervert, same goes with Akizuki. I can even include the meme that Blend S has, but for now it doesn’t have, so sooner or later this anime could get a meme too. They both play similarity it’s just that only the male characters opposites to each other in their own animes.

Steins;Gate is kinda similar to Summertime Render but story plot is different as Summertime shows a boy who got miracle eye that help to back fixed difference time but getting reduced everytime going back while SteinsGate originally come from Game version but mostly scenes cut off fue to very long story, Anyway it shows that Houyin, or nickname Okabe who is typically mad scientist, who interested in going future world that has very little chance to happen like time machine that looked impossible to make work but he denied it is impossible and he met to who he called assistant named Makise Kurisu, a 17 years old girl who credit world renowned about alternative theory of relativity. Both of them created successful time machine in another world line but came back where story started. I cannot explain anymore but you better watch in arranged way 1. Kimetsu no Yaiba is very connected to bleach so much, similar with story, Hollow and Demon, Soul Reaper and Demon Slayer, 13 squads Captain and 9 Demon slayer hashira, Espada and Demon Moons, the main character who become a soul reaper/demon slayer and have lost the parents, bleach is like brother to Kimetsu no Yaiba.

As someone who's watched ALL the Aria series, trust me on this one. Even tho the theme from both are completely different, I still can see similarities between those two. From the anime atmosphere to the soothing soundtrack and the general feeling it leaves on the watcher. Also, both animes settings are in and european country (Italy and France). I would say this is the most aria-like serie I've ever watched

Nakami have troubles to sleep at night so when he meets with Magari it eases his sleeping which he always struggled with and as a result they start hanging out in the observatory. watch both these shows at night to elevate your experience.

Both are set in school setting where their love blossoms into fine wine. It's cute, fun and wholesome romcom that soothes your heart instantly. Nishikata challenges Takagi into some fun shenanigan's and Takada enjoys spending time with Nishimura which is kind of similar. Both series have good comedy and lovable characters, so check these 2 fun animes out.

Both develop their love interest but cannot express it easily. Yamada and Amane are dense with no experience with girls & they're always distancing themselves from others. Akane and Mahiru captivate the boys into liking them by using their charm and throughout the series's you feel that both couples complement each other quite nicely with some interesting interactions, warm and wholesome vibes overall. Totally recommended to check both!

Both series has a lot more emotional and contemplational value beneath their surfaces. In both shows, the main focus of the story is our protagonist, traveling in solitude with the sole company of their mechanical companions, and in their journeys, they do encounter various parables, which rarely can be resolved with force or violence. Also, in both shows, the existential themes and it's presentation are largely pondered upon, presenting us a journey of both the mind and heart.
