It's not bad but it's also not great, it's just... okay.

There was a lot of potential with some interesting supporting characters and stories that could've been explored more deeply but was left short and underwhelming in explanation or reason (and unfortunately, both in characters and stories, it seems to prove itself insignificant to the manga as a whole which made it feel pointless so it makes you question what was the point of including it in the first place).

There's no growth, no chance for any of the characters to befriend or even just get to know each other which makes it feel so bland and ...

This is a great sports manga and its nice to see some female representation that isnt overly fanservice and actually has focus on sports. This manga had alot of potential and sadly was canceled as it was getting better and better unfortunately due to poor sales. I would still very much recommend this manga if u like basketball and want to see what this series could have been and potentially could be if we are lucky and it comes back one day. The characters are decent but not all of them are developed since the manga was canceled, the basketball is realistic and things are ...

I give Gamble Fish an 8. I highly enjoyed it, and it was exactly what I was looking for.

But what? Why do you have mixed feelings if you enjoyed it so much. Well that's that thing, I was recommended this series because I enjoyed the first 50 chapters of Yu-Gi-Oh and really enjoyed the "Let's keep challenging Yugi with strange games and see how he gets his way out of there." That's before the card game became the entire focus of the manga, and before there was really one major game.

And in that way Gamble Fish scratches my itch. ...

Why did I not listen to the other negative reviews?

I'm going to skip the generic information, Danganronpa is about a death game played by a number of students of a prestigious high school. Yadda Yadda. If you don't know that, I'd probably just stop here and tell you to skip the manga, go play the game, or look for something else. It's just not very good for a variety of reasons that I'll get into with out spoilers, but ultimately the subject isn't really the problem, it's all about the delivery and content.

There's two approaches to the manga itself that ...

Soredemo Boku wa Kimi ga Suki is a realistic, romance manga about hurting the ones you love, past regrets, and moving forward. This is a great manga that is absolutely worth a read.

All of the characters in this manga, aside from a few, are absolutely incredible. They all have deep personalities that feel genuine, their backgrounds are interesting and well-established, and they interact well with each other. The relationships that Serizawa builds with each of them them feel meaningful, even if they were unhealthy. If there is one reason to read this manga, it is for the characters.

Throughout its story, the manga is very realistic. ...

What gives a being value? Is it simply usefulness? Ponku is certainly trying very hard to be useful, and wears a brave face, comforting herself with the knowledge that, if she is melted into scrap metal for 500-yen coins, at least that's a way to be useful to people. It will take her a while to realize that what really needs isn't so much to be useful itself, but home, community, belonging, and affection.

In the meantime, she is going to be a ridiculous goofball and smile widely as she trips over her own head, which keeps falling off on a regular basis.

I begin by apologizing for the mistakes I will make because English is not my native language.

Kamugoroshi is practically the Prequel of Ingoshima, in this prequel we obviously find the main characters who are also found on Ingoshima for example Gamou.

Obviously the protagonists change compared to Ingoshima, in the first 19 chapters we have only 2 protagonists Gamou and Ibuki Nanase, and compared to Ingoshima in my opinion Nanase is better than many other characters presented in the sequel.

Even if the story of Kamugoroshi really loses a lot compared to Ingoshima. Obviously this prequel shouldn't be underestimated.

Also the Character Design drawn by Ueno is done ...

I do love to read on Webtoons a lot. There are a lot of hidden gems on Webtoons. Bastard was a masterpiece of a comic. I wish they would make a EN version to purchase. I watch Sweet Home. Which Sweet Home is based off the story from the same writer of Bastard. Anyways, there is an easter egg where one of the characters was reading a physical manga copy of Bastard but, in Korean. Webtoon has been making more physical copies in EN more lately. So, hopefully someday this series will have a physical copy as well.

I think fire force has one of the most unique worldbuilding. The setting is great, the powers are unique, the characters are overall pretty likeable, and have sufficient depth to them. I usually don't care too much about art, but it is definitely impressive and makes the fights come to life. Ecchi is definitely a prominent feature, and it doens't really add much to the show, but I guess some people like that. The story starts off with a lot of mystery, since we don't know how this world came to be however. I think that for the first half of the manga, the story ...

This manga (and the anime) is a romance that was a nice change of pace from the typical high-school stuff seen. It is one of the first manga I have ever read, and it is nice to look back on what has happened. Honestly, its a very cute and wholesome show with alot of feel good vibes, but it really is style over substance. The main romance with Hirotaka and Nifuji seems much more like a friendship, and even the end doesn't feel very genuine. The cast is decent and varied enough, but in my eyes, the romance aspect feels somewhat forced for all the ...

< Short-review >

This story is not something completely new and has some "default" isekai concepts, but those are not boring or very predictable (When they are, it's not that annoying), and the characters are not "empty", so reading was quite satisfying.
Basically, MC very good at crafting-related magic as well as assassination (Having additional bonus due to overall knowledge level in the new world) and uses this knowledge to achieve his goals, balancing between crafting, negotiating, and fighting, remaining cold-blooded, as expected from an assassin.

Additionally, a certain amount of realistic character behavior makes the story more interesting, and enjoyable.

This manga is surely worth the time to ...

Gag romance manga has many ways to go. Focus on comedy, weekly, a fun fair, or a simple snack to enjoy throughout the day. Focus on story, a changing narrative that develops a romance gradually, it isn't just about the ending explosion, but about building something special; as well as other good ways. This was just excessive.

Story:
This is one of THE gag manga out there. A one-trick pony, a repetitive, slightly fetishistic, and wholesome joke that's repeated around one hundred times. After a long pause from the manga, I thought I could go back, finish it, and find the gags fresh again. I miscalculated. ...

If you are fan of stories that have a massive focus on worldbuilding with lore and mysteries that go deep and feel interconnected, this is for you. I don't think any manga, no, I don't think any media does worldbuilding like One Piece does. The world feels like a real, lived in place despite being so absurdly cartoonish.

Multiple concepts/characters/locations are introduced hundreds of chapters before becoming relevant. Every island we visit brings it's own cultures and cast of characters with their own backstories and motivations. The world doesn't revolve around the main characters, the side characters from ...

It's a interesting setup, a NPC that survives the server wipe and receives adm power, but it executes in a manner that made me drop without even giving a chance.

A level 1 NPC without any combat skills goes into a lv 80 dungeon and instead of getting one shot by a hidden "semi boss" he gets slighly cut five times. That alone already made me lose interest.

Eventually he manages to hit the enemy and doesn't do any damage, instead of getting cut in half, he gets punched by a npc sword wielder, gets up because tatakae and wins.

I didn't bother to go beyond that ...

It is a very direct retelling of the events of the original Rockman game. It basically serves as a guide for how to optimally take on the bosses. It also provides some good lore and context not present in the game. The art is also very nice, quite reminiscent of Astro Boy, which had a big influence on Megaman's design in the game. Unfortunately, there isn't much to it besides that. The story moves at breakneck speed. Things just happen, and there is not a moment to even contemplate any of them. It feels like, within the blink of an eye, Megaman is onto a ...

negative: The idea that there are many short stories intertwined in one universe is interesting, but it's not done well. The chapters are 3-5 pages long which doesn't allow you to connect with characters. It does start tying things together at the end, but I still don't care because I don't know much about the characters. It's like a failed attempt at Uzumaki by Junji Ito.

Positive: The art.

WARNING: do not read the last personal chapters in volume 5. The author retells his struggles with a curse which spreads by him telling people about it... which he stupidly does in these chapters.

What would happen if Grand Blue-style art of absolutely hilarious reaction faces met total sexual degeneracy and backed it up with ACTUALLY well-researched mythological context? Oh, and all of that went through the blender of non-stop, adrenaline-fueled fun.

That's what 'Rosen Garten Saga' looks like to me, and it's way more glorious than I expected it to be.

I mean, if you don't dig the idea of King Arthur manifesting as a nanomachine-fueled cutesy trap idol, why even live?

Sure, RGS is a good gateway to kinks known or unknown. Sure, RGS can actually educate you a bit on the myth side of the, ahem, story. Especially considering ...

I just feel sad knowing that I won't see more of these characters again...

MAL wants me to add more fluff to this review, however there's not much to say.
The manga goes to the point, it is short and sweet. Made me feel comfortable whilst reading it.
As you've realised, I love the interaction between the protagonists. It was a breath of fresh air to have adult characters that quickly realise what they want, each-other. There was no time wasted with an unnecessary drama arc or an extra lover to compete against. The hardships of an adult life brought all the ingredients required to make this work.

Fullmetal Alchemist was one complicated series I tried to get into, since I've only seen some parts of Brotherhood and was thinking about getting into the 2003 anime series, so the only solution was to read the manga....and it was a AMAZING experience

The story is set in a fully steampunk fantasy version of somewhat of WW Germany as it follows two brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric trying to find a artifact called the Philosopher Stone after a freak accident of using alchemy to revive the deceased mother that took Alphone's whole entire body leaving him as a soul in a suit of armor and one ...

What if you decide to end your life, and the universe brings you something worse? This is Jisatsutou, an outcast survival manga that brings you a unique theme for survival series.

TLDR:
Jisatsutou is a survival manga that tells the story of an island where people who have attempted suicide are sent. The story and character development are solid, and the conflicts between them make it engaging. I was wrong and right at the same time. It IS a really cute history, the characters development are really good and intensive, especially from Nino and Yabe. Being familiar with Matsuri Hino´s art style and Vampire Knight serie I was happy to find another short series of her, it shattered my excitement and expectations. To put it shortly it encourages pedophilia, each volume that I read made me feel uncomfortable and disgusted. It made me question Matsuri Hino´s mental state, her previous work Vampire knight contained somewhat elements of incest which was already problematic but pedophilia ? Over all Yu Yu Hakusho is pretty good for what it is, a 90s shonen. Alot of the stories beats found in Yu Yu Hakusho are generic but not to an insulting degree as found in more recent animanga in which they make that generic concept into the driving force of the narrative. Instead Yu Yu Hakusho takes the self loafing concepts of humanity such as "Would anybody care if I died" and "Humanity deserves to die" and transforms them into fighting motifs for the protagonist and makes it feel that these were silly concepts to even think of.

Adendo, a história não parece desenvolver nada inovador ou melhor escrito sendo na maior parte das vezes previsível, e pende a se perder conforme da uma continuidade maior da história, mas no supra sumo de obras com guildas e caçadores ela se destaca do resto.

I'd been eyeing this manga for a while. I'm starting to explore slightly dated manga, and I think I've found a good entry point.

"Arms" is a captivating manga that has won over long-time fans of the shōnen genre with its action-packed, mystery-filled narrative. Scripted by Kyoichi Nanatsuki and drawn by Kyoichi Minagawa, this work offers a unique experience through its complex universe and intriguing stakes.

The writing of the characters in "Arms" is one of its undeniable strengths. Each character is well-developed, with a unique personality and deep motivations that drive them throughout the story. The protagonist, Ryo Takatsuki, is a charismatic and complex main character. ...

Good, but can be better. We only have 6 chapters, so the author couldn't develop more about the characters and the plot. The story could be better explored, but overall it's quite good if you want to read a BL series that has a plot and isn't too long. I also like the quote at the end " When people aren't afraid to die, what will happen to them?" showing that this story can offer some certain kind of philosophy. This is not for light-hearted people can't handle dark and horror, however horror is my cup of tea. The reason why I gave this 10 ...

I cannot for the life of me comprehend why this manga is touted as the pinnacle of the genre. It's an overhyped disaster that undeservedly basks in high ratings. If you're on a quest for a manga that truly rattles your bones, sends shivers down your spine and simultaneously weaves a story that is breathtakingly heart-wrenching and mind-bogglingly twisted, then 'Blood on the Tracks' is the one you should be setting your eyes on.

The themes are really interesting! The way the manga tackles the idea of having a goal in mind and the dissatisfication of finding out how disappointing it can be, how the goal wasn't worth the effort, and ending up lost without something to work towards is amazing. Even with something as simple as "I want to touch boob" when the goal is achieved, Denji is absolutely shattered by the fact that it wasn't all he thought it was.

The way women are written as good characters who happen to be women is refreshing in comparison to lots of other shonens. Power being quirky but not in ...

Beautiful. Heart-warming. Near perfection. Mere words aren't enough to express my feelings for this manga. It wonderfully portrays loneliness, in a way that really clutches at your heart. It makes you feel their emotions as if you were them. The art style too, was brilliant. Their expressions, the scenery, the little details... everything was drawn beautifully. I couldn't stop myself from going back and staring at one panel for minutes. Their relationship too, was just amazing. Blood Lad presents a whimsical premise within the supernatural realm but falls short in delivering a satisfying experience due to its reliance on otaku pandering. Despite showcasing promising elements, the manga is plagued by significant narrative and character flaws, along with an overemphasis on generic otaku tropes.

One of the most prominent issues with Blood Lad is its fragmented storytelling. The manga struggles to establish a cohesive narrative structure, opting instead for episodic arcs that often lack a strong connection to the overarching plot. This disjointedness not only disrupts the flow of the story but also hampers the development of a compelling narrative arc. As a ...

I’m surprised nobody made a review for this let alone anything else here.

I’ll start by saying this is a really good manga doing a great job at showing Louis Amamiya’s characterization, if you don’t know about Code Vein’s story you might get lost or confused about what’s going on, but for those who know it’s essentially a retelling of Code Vein story mostly in the perspective of Louis Amamiya, a Carefully Intelligently Logical yet Calm and Compassionate Revenant followed by his two revenant companions; Yakumo and the game’s canon protagonist the “Queenslayer”

I liked "Kuro" as a quick, small little mystery manga about a girl dealing with problems that even adults have a hard time with. I really liked the setup, and even how it tries to have some fun with it. However, I didn't enjoy the sum of its parts. I've had a lot of experience with stories about a mystery world, where the woods, or the outside is this dangerous place, and the concepts of hybrids, jealousy, ostracization, loneliness, it's a combination I've seen before, and done a little better. tl;dr: A decent enough first half followed by a complete mess of a second half.

This manga is an adaptation of an anime film. I purposefully extended my reading pauses, just so I didn't go instantly through it. It's one of THE best horror manga out there.

Fear, part of humanity, part of every living being. The story explores an idea previously seen before, what happens if the world gets plunged into the unknown? No more rules, no more society, humans are open against a world that they don't control anymore. It's a harsh manga. It begins with the claustrophobic scenario of being buried alive in a sauna that doesn't stop heating up. Following on the brilliant Kaguya-Sama, and with its public reputation preceding it, I had high hopes for Oshi no Ko.
These hopes weren't met, although that's not really surprising, since doing two masterpieces back to back is extremely rare. However, I can't say that Oshi no Ko would've earned a review if it hadn't come from an author I already knew and loved.
Oshi no Ko isn't necessarily poor, but "mid" sort of comes to mind. This isn't due to any art or storytelling problems per se. It's an identity problem, and the pacing problems that it constantly breeds.

Kenshiro is a boring protagonist, he is extremely overpowered. There is never a point in time where you feel concerned for his safety, because he will pull out martial art moves out of nowhere that are specifically designed to counter whatever problem he has. Reviewer Notes: The manga involves sexual abuse and graphic violence.

Have you heard of Kodoku? It's an occult curse that involves using the sole survivor of poisonous insects mixed with other deadly insects. But what if it's not an insect, but a human that's involved? This is Dokumushi, a horror survival manga that explores the theme of kodoku using humans as participants.

Great first manga! Throughly enjoyed the story of Keneki from a meek, but good hearted young man, to a cold-blooded killing machine, with a good heart. Coming from a manga virgin, the story is very easy to read. The best moments IMO were in the middle of he manga. The story falls off slighthly after this point before finishing with a thrilling cliffhanger ending. The art is pretty good, if not remarkable. Stating the obvious here but: this manga is focused on mental health, specifically adhd and autism. Every chapter presents a different story (and person).

I like the portrayal of people and their stories here, it's quite realistic. The only thing I find not to be realistic is how fast the characters manage to get a diagnosis (as shown in the comic), but I think that in all of the stories the doctor basically tells them something along the lines: "yeah, *this* is your problem, *this* is your diagnosis". Oh my, this is for sure one of the worst manga I've ever read. The author clearly had in mind making an uncomfortable series, and he accomplished that, but only that.

There was only one aspect of this manga that wasn't utterly garbage, and that was the art. But don't get me wrong, it isn't great by any stretch of the imagination, it's just that everything around it was so appalling that it seems better in contrast. This Manwah, despite its high worldbuilding potential, fails to meet the threshold for an average story. Unfortunately, after just 20-30 chapters, the story started to become monotonous and uninteresting. The endings of each chapter feel mundane, lacking any excitement. Additionally, the initial drawings can be difficult to comprehend.

The storytelling could have been greatly improved. It lacks engagement and fails to build up any hype or expectations for the next chapter. Read for the monster (mermaids with monster forms) girls and art. The art was some of the best I've seen in a story, each character being a different sea creature allowed them to be immediately recognizable. The sceneries in the undersea city, the classroooms being bubbles in an etherial sea, the curved bookshelves of the school library as books stretched into the sky, it was all magic. The multiple night sky scenes, both above and under water, are an absolute treasure. This is a series that can be read just for the art alone while disregarding the story.
