It's not bad but it's also not great, it's just... okay.

There was a lot of potential with some interesting supporting characters and stories that could've been explored more deeply but was left short and underwhelming in explanation or reason (and unfortunately, both in characters and stories, it seems to prove itself insignificant to the manga as a whole which made it feel pointless so it makes you question what was the point of including it in the first place).

There's no growth, no chance for any of the characters to befriend or even just get to know each other which makes it feel so bland and ...

I give Gamble Fish an 8. I highly enjoyed it, and it was exactly what I was looking for.

But what? Why do you have mixed feelings if you enjoyed it so much. Well that's that thing, I was recommended this series because I enjoyed the first 50 chapters of Yu-Gi-Oh and really enjoyed the "Let's keep challenging Yugi with strange games and see how he gets his way out of there." That's before the card game became the entire focus of the manga, and before there was really one major game.

Why did I not listen to the other negative reviews?

I'm going to skip the generic information, Danganronpa is about a death game played by a number of students of a prestigious high school. Yadda Yadda. If you don't know that, I'd probably just stop here and tell you to skip the manga, go play the game, or look for something else. It's just not very good for a variety of reasons that I'll get into with out spoilers, but ultimately the subject isn't really the problem, it's all about the delivery and content.

There's two approaches to the manga itself that ... depends on the reader.

The first is by a fan of the original game. I could say that I liked the original game enough. I had complaints but nothing game breakingly bad, and I gave the game a 7/10. The puzzles were mostly good, the gameplay was good, there's an interesting dating sim mechanic, and my only real complaints were there is a character at the end that was very annoying, a few puzzles were annoying, and the summary of each case is completely repetitive in a way that just repeated everything you just did.

Well the good news is that the manga solves all those problems. But also tears down everything GOOD about the games. The obvious change is there's very little if any dating games, and the manga overall is rushed. Actually a big problem is the story is almost the same in the manga and the game...

Which kind of leads us to the other side. The second type of reader who hasn't played the games. In that case, how is the manga if you don't already know the game it's based on.

I already said the Manga is the same as the game, and that's really the problem. Naegi is the main character of both. In the game, everything is focused on him because he's the main character and thus he has to solve all the puzzles, figure out all the clues, and lead the investigations in to the murders.

In the manga it's done in the same way and that means EVERYONE turns to Naegi, even... well a certain spoiler character... because that's how the game did it. In the game this approach works because if Naegi isn't in the room, the player can't see what happens, but in the manga... honestly in the manga, about half the interactions with Naegi should have been split up to other characters because it would have been a better story telling device, and it would be interesting to see each character work out problems on their own.

Instead it's all done EXACTLY The same as Naegi, and as the books proceed it even throws in references to the mini-games of the manga, not "someone says something like that" but "here's a screen just like their version of hangman." It's like they could have seen the problem and ignored it.

The game also helps develop the characters with the "Dating sim" type of gameplay. The manga has none of that so nothing about the characters is illuminated or developed, and the entire manga is sped through in four volumes, the final volume just whipping through case after case.

The thing is, this could have been a chance for a young mangaka to really evolve the story, and art and tell something new that shows his ability to adapt a video game, but instead the manga is the same as a game, either due to the lack of skill of the writer, or requirements by the video game company. Either way the final product really lacks a purpose. If you didn't play the game, play the game. If you did play the game, you already read this story, and if you don't want to play the game... Watch a full playthrough, it'll at least be more entertaining than this because in the game format the main character IS supposed to be driving the story, instead of awkwardly doing it in a manga.

Soredemo Boku wa Kimi ga Suki is a realistic, romance manga about hurting the ones you love, past regrets, and moving forward. This is a great manga that is absolutely worth a read.

All of the characters in this manga, aside from a few, are absolutely incredible. They all have deep personalities that feel genuine, their backgrounds are interesting and well-established, and they interact well with each other. The relationships that Serizawa builds with each of them them feel meaningful, even if they were unhealthy. If there is one reason to read this manga, it is for the characters.

What gives a being value? Is it simply usefulness? Ponku is certainly trying very hard to be useful, and wears a brave face, comforting herself with the knowledge that, if she is melted into scrap metal for 500-yen coins, at least that's a way to be useful to people. It will take her a while to realize that what really needs isn't so much to be useful itself, but home, community, belonging, and affection.

In the meantime, she is going to be a ridiculous goofball and smile widely as she trips over her own head, which keeps falling off on a regular basis.

I begin by apologizing for the mistakes I will make because English is not my native language.

Kamugoroshi is practically the Prequel of Ingoshima, in this prequel we obviously find the main characters who are also found on Ingoshima for example Gamou.

Obviously the protagonists change compared to Ingoshima, in the first 19 chapters we have only 2 protagonists Gamou and Ibuki Nanase, and compared to Ingoshima in my opinion Nanase is better than many other characters presented in the sequel.

Even if the story of Kamugoroshi really loses a lot compared to Ingoshima. Obviously this prequel shouldn't be underestimated.

I do love to read on Webtoons a lot. There are a lot of hidden gems on Webtoons. Bastard was a masterpiece of a comic. I wish they would make a EN version to purchase. I watch Sweet Home. Which Sweet Home is based off the story from the same writer of Bastard. Anyways, there is an easter egg where one of the characters was reading a physical manga copy of Bastard but, in Korean. Webtoon has been making more physical copies in EN more lately. So, hopefully someday this series will have a physical copy as well.

Gag romance manga has many ways to go. Focus on comedy, weekly, a fun fair, or a simple snack to enjoy throughout the day. Focus on story, a changing narrative that develops a romance gradually, it isn't just about the ending explosion, but about building something special; as well as other good ways. This was just excessive.

Story:
This is one of THE gag manga out there. A one-trick pony, a repetitive, slightly fetishistic, and wholesome joke that's repeated around one hundred times. After a long pause from the manga, I thought I could go back, finish it, and find the gags fresh again. I miscalculated. ... It's a story that uses the same “abs are sexy” joke that I ended up hating by the end. It's a tale that tries to develop the characters a lot, adding motives, stakes, and a small “bomb under the table” plot point. However, it ruins its own plot by… well… not caring. It reversed everything for a happy ending that shouldn't be bad in itself, but since it comes from a well established road to a bad end, I hated it. A literal Deus Ex Machina, creating a stupid ending.

Characters:
It's interesting how there's such a big cast of characters. Loads of people are introduced into the story to serve for more gags about the same thing, while making small cameos later in the story. I guess I can give it some props since it doesn't really waste them, it's just an excess of characters used for the same thing or to give more of a motive for the main couple to experience drama. You're gonna like the main couple, but every conflict they go through is just fake. We know they're gonna go back in the stupidest ways, or how the plot is all about trying to pull them apart and just doing the reverse for the fun of it. Nice characters, and well-used for the end, but the middle of that is just dead time. At least the art is fine.

Art:
The pouts, the love expressions, the uh… anatomy of the characters. It's probably what attracts the audience in general. If you're gonna enjoy something, it's how visually cute it tries to be. Sure, it works, and the art in other elements isn't actually that bad. The fight scenes are strangely easy to follow, even if it isn't that dynamic. The author doesn't cut corners to show impact on some hits. Zooms out, shows damage on areas, it's easy to get a scale of power just from the visuals, so, hey, that's pretty nice.

I couldn't say that all the parts made a good whole. It's a story I really don't like. Gag manga can be good. Some of them create a story around that gag, and evolve the characters around that gag to make a fun world. This manga couldn't do it for me, and even if you love those panels that show bodies, it isn't enough to keep you going. If there isn't a drive to finish the story, why should you?

4.5/10, at least every chapter is just 6 pages or something around it. If you're still interested, don't binge it, just read a small amount until you get slightly tired, then you can give it time to get fun again.

If you are fan of stories that have a massive focus on worldbuilding with lore and mysteries that go deep and feel interconnected, this is for you. I don't think any manga, no, I don't think any media does worldbuilding like One Piece does. The world feels like a real, lived in place despite being so absurdly cartoonish.

Multiple concepts/characters/locations are introduced hundreds of chapters before becoming relevant. Every island we visit brings it's own cultures and cast of characters with their own backstories and motivations. The world doesn't revolve around the main characters, the side characters from ... hundreds of chapters ago are still going through their own stories while the main plot is happening. All this makes the world feels alive.

Despite being a story aimed at a younger audience, One Piece tackles mature concepts often. We have an entire arc built on racism and how generations of prejudice is formed. One Piece has a very heavy emphasis on free will, so you will often see concepts that go against freedom, like actual slavery (There is an entire island dedicated to human trafficking), suppression from people of higher authority, nobles of 'higher birth' having more rights than 'peasants' abusing their power, or normal citizens being stripped of their basic rights like food or water.

Still, the world isn't all black and white i.e. 'Pirates are good guys' and 'all the marines are corrupt'. We are immediately shown that there's evil pirates like Kuro and Arlong, while the story also introduces good marines like Koby and Smoker. There is good and evil on both sides. And the thing is, most of the in-universe people are like Smoker who think the opposite: 'Pirates are all evil' and 'Marines only work for good'. Then we see Smoker's views be challenged when he sees Luffy liberating the kingdom of Alabasta, while the marines there do nothing to help the citizens. In punk hazard, there is a part where the pirates and marines are eating together, while Smoker draws a line between them to keep distance between his marine men and the pirates he considers evil. But minutes later, we see that people from both sides have crossed over and are all over the place just having fun, signifying that both sides are just people living their lives.

The story itself is also consistently good. The lows in the story are very few and far apart, while having constant highs. Despite being so long, there is a clear sense of progression to the plot. One Piece excels at creating long build ups then having massive payoffs for those build ups. There are mysteries which will get you hooked and won't be explained for hundreds of chapters. We see Luffy going from a random kid in Foosha village to the pirate king (He isn't the pirate king yet while I'm writing this, but we'll eventually get there). Despite being so long, the story remains consistently good and keeps you hooked.

And please don't make all the above explanation make you feel like the story is only good for it's world. Luffy is one of the best concepts for a main character I've seen in Shonen. He doesn't want to be the Pirate King to prove himself or anything, he says that he sees the Pirate King as 'most free person in the world'. He is a simple man, he wants a world where his friends can eat all they want. Luffy is a symbolism for freedom. Many people complain that he has very little character development, but you don't need a character to go through a major character arc or personality change to be a good character. Luffy is an example of a static character, the world around him doesn't change him, he brings changes to the world with his personality. It's the moments where he reminds the readers who he is, that are considered the best moments in the series (For those who have read One piece, examples are those scenes in Jaya and Sabaody). The other Strawhats also have their own goals and ideals that make us root for them. All of them feel important, you feel like Luffy needs all of them to achieve his dreams, while they also need Luffy to achieve theirs. So far, my biggest complain about One Piece is that after the timeskip, there is much less focus on the personalities of all the Strawhats except Luffy and Sanji.

Gather up all of the crew, it's time to ship out Binks' Brew,
Sing a song, and play along for all the oceans wide.
After all is said and done, you'll end up a skeleton,

It's a interesting setup, a NPC that survives the server wipe and receives adm power, but it executes in a manner that made me drop without even giving a chance.

A level 1 NPC without any combat skills goes into a lv 80 dungeon and instead of getting one shot by a hidden "semi boss" he gets slighly cut five times. That alone already made me lose interest.

Eventually he manages to hit the enemy and doesn't do any damage, instead of getting cut in half, he gets punched by a npc sword wielder, gets up because tatakae and wins.

MAL wants me to add more fluff to this review, however there's not much to say.
The manga goes to the point, it is short and sweet. Made me feel comfortable whilst reading it.
As you've realised, I love the interaction between the protagonists. It was a breath of fresh air to have adult characters that quickly realise what they want, each-other. What if you decide to end your life, and the universe brings you something worse? This is Jisatsutou, an outcast survival manga that brings you a unique theme for survival series.

TLDR:
Jisatsutou is a survival manga that tells the story of an island where people who have attempted suicide are sent. The story and character development are solid, and the conflicts between them make it engaging. The artist does a good job of drawing backgrounds and nature, but the character design could be improved. While the manga has over 150 chapters, each chapter is not too long, and the writer still manages to develop the ... story and characters effectively.

Story 8
The story is wonderful and presents a new premise to the survival genre. The main plot revolves around an island where people who have attempted suicide are sent. What's amazing is that at first, going there doesn't seem like a big deal to someone who has attempted suicide, since they think they're going to die anyway. But that's the clever part. The hardest part of feeling hopeless and thinking of dying anyway is when you're forced to keep living.

It's great when people on the island discover the meaning of life through experiences like this. Additionally, as is typical with survival island themes, there is a lot of dynamic conflict surrounding the resources necessary for their survival. Seeing how they try to figure out how to survive and fulfill their everyday needs is very interesting and varied.

The plot and its progression are very solid. However, as a reader, I have mixed feelings about the ending. (So I leave it to your opinion.)

Character 7
There are many characters you'll encounter throughout the story, including the main character Sei. He's a high schooler who was in critical condition in the hospital and decided to end his life, which led him to end up on the island for the first time. His development throughout the story is impressive. At first, he is hopeless, but he later gains a strong will to live. His creativity in solving daily needs is remarkable, and his personality is wonderful.

The other members of the gang have unique personalities and skills that contribute to the progression of their survival story on the island. Each side character or secondary character has their own uniqueness and different personality, making the whole story more dramatic and engaging.

As it is a survival-themed story, there is a basic antagonist, a selfish character, and another survival group. The conflicts between them, driven by their different visions, make the story engaging. Despite being over a hundred chapters long, the author still manages to develop each character besides the main character. Additionally, learning about the background of each character adds richness to the story.

Art 7
The artist of Jisatsutou does a good job of drawing backgrounds, animals, and nature, but the character design is a downside. The old-school manga style with exaggerated features doesn't look like real life, and the facial features are composed in a weird and unnatural way.

In the end, I enjoyed Jisatsutou. It has a well-developed plot that is both dramatic and dynamic throughout the story. Even though I don't typically read manga with a survival island theme, I would recommend this one. Despite having 150+ chapters, each chapter is not too long, and the writer still manages to develop the story and characters effectively.

First of all, i wasn't expecting this end. Truly, i wasn't.

This mangá called my attention by the title and cover, i thought it was really beautiful, and it was! I didn't read the synopsis, actually, so i just dived in the history expecting something cute. I was wrong and right at the same time. It IS a really cute history, the characters development are really good and intensive, especially from Nino and Yabe. I mean, Kira too, but those two was really good, but Nino and Yabe was even more than i thought.

Being familiar with Matsuri Hino´s art style and Vampire Knight serie I was happy to find another short series of her, it shattered my excitement and expectations. To put it shortly it encourages pedophilia, each volume that I read made me feel uncomfortable and disgusted. Over all Yu Yu Hakusho is pretty good for what it is, a 90s shonen. Alot of the stories beats found in Yu Yu Hakusho are generic but not to an insulting degree as found in more recent animanga in which they make that generic concept into the driving force of the narrative. tl;dr: A decent enough first half followed by a complete mess of a second half.

This manga is an adaptation of an anime film. I really don’t like the art and animation of the film however, due to how it’s heavily CGI based with not particularly good CGI, so I’m reading this instead. Thus, this is from the point of view of the manga only with no use of the film for context or comparison.

The story involves an indecisive high school student named Naomi, getting visited by his future self (who is henceforth referred to as Sensei) so that Naomi may save his soon to be ... girlfriend, Ruri, from a tragic lightning strike. The interesting twist is that Naomi isn’t exactly a time traveler, rather the world that the world Naomi lives in is a virtual recreation of the real world running on what’s called the Alltale. Something like this turns out to be the final major twist in a lot of stories, but what makes things somewhat fresh here is that this is explained from the start and it builds off of that in terms of Sensei’s motivations and how Naomi chooses to proceed.

The first half or so of the manga is pretty solid. It involves Sensei helping Naomi grow closer to Ruri while also training him in how to use what are essentially special admin powers. The protagonist works hard in following the plan Sensei lays out for him, and his character shines through even stronger in the parts where he chooses to deviate from said plan. His interactions with Ruri also result in pretty solid relationship development and help establish Ruri’s character to a decent degree. The sci-fi pretty much comes down solely to “that’s the way to the world was programmed to work so just deal with it”, which isn’t a particularly deep explanation, but is a reasonable enough explanation for pretty much anything so it works well enough.

The second half definitely jumps the shark and becomes a mess. The sci-fi becomes nonsense. Lots of crazy stuff happens beyond the scope of the virtual world, but the only explanations given are a bunch of random terms thrown around that are only loosely related and don’t explain anything. Thus, it’s pretty much just a stream of sudden events to make whatever the plot needs to happen happen with no proper world building. The ending is pretty strong in a vague sense, but due to how messy everything is the emotional beats just don’t land all that well.

The plot becoming a mess is fine if it allows the characters to shine through better, but in this case the writing involving the cast fell apart too. Naomi’s character arc is rushed, but it still progresses and concludes in a decently solid manner so overall it fared well enough. However, Ruri is also implied to have gone through major character growth, but this was never properly developed. The relationship between Naomi and Ruri is also supposedly super strong, much stronger than the relationship between Sensei and the Ruri of Sensei’s world, but that too isn’t really properly developed either. And everything regarding Sensei’s personality and motivations in this phase just seems like a mess with lots of inconsistencies. Thus, it’s really hard to stay invested in the cast and thus nothing has much of an impact.

The art was pretty nice in terms of style and quality and character designs pretty solid. It felt like there wasn’t enough of just using nice art to establish tone and atmosphere, with essentially every panel being used to advance the plot, and thus the art didn’t shine through all that well.

I purposefully extended my reading pauses, just so I didn't go instantly through it. It's one of THE best horror manga out there.

Fear, part of humanity, part of every living being. The story explores an idea previously seen before, what happens if the world gets plunged into the unknown? No more rules, no more society, humans are open against a world that they don't control anymore. It's a harsh manga. It begins with the claustrophobic scenario of being buried alive in a sauna that doesn't stop heating up. Every subsequent place they escape to become increasingly worse, people they encounter turn less human by the ... day. It's all a question that's hard to answer, what happened to the world?

I'd say this is more of a character piece. Our main characters are impossibly realistic, erratic in front of this situation. They scream, want to die, think about death, about hurting, about hurting somebody, about life, about why, why would this happen to them? It's SO tragic, to the point I think they used the rare trope of Diabolus Ex Machina. Nobody comes out unscathed, and somehow, our characters manage to grow with each other, to change, some pushed to diverse sides of the moral coin. Perfect writing from the characters, even if sometimes they annoy me, they aren't perfect people, just people suffering. The art too, holy mother of god.

From the very beginning, the art manages to convey darkness. What's behind that curtain of blackness? Beyond what your flashlight can reach, or what your little torch can light. How does our main character react to it? It's an immersive experience that forces you to look at a panel, maybe there's something, anything, it turns you paranoid, there's gotta be something. Questions on top of questions, just from what can fit on a panel. Of course, not only the dark, but the unfathomable look of a destroyed earth. A catastrophe, the distant pillar of fire akin to a biblical prophecy. Art gives you just enough to fill in the blanks, while showing you enough to get the brain running. It's fantastic, and not only that, the author slowly gets better with character expressions, with the small details of an expression to define fear.

I could gush about it a lot. I loved it so much, and I have to get the physical version of it. It's an intense series that never lets go from the ride. Every episode obligates you to flip again and finish it instantly. Sometimes dialogue doesn't appear much, so many portions are all about looking at action that's still extremely engaging.

If I had to mention problems, it's just one arc, where it slows down and turns more into a thriller series, but I still enjoyed it a lot. People talk about the ending being unlikable. I believe the ending is perfect for this series, and only pacing problems, and some strange saves for the characters make this slightly below a 10. Read it, I tried not to spoil, just so you can experience this incredible series.

9.2/10, you won't believe how good this is.

Following on the brilliant Kaguya-Sama, and with its public reputation preceding it, I had high hopes for Oshi no Ko.
These hopes weren't met, although that's not really surprising, since doing two masterpieces back to back is extremely rare. However, I can't say that Oshi no Ko would've earned a review if it hadn't come from an author I already knew and loved.
Oshi no Ko isn't necessarily poor, but "mid" sort of comes to mind. This isn't due to any art or storytelling problems per se. It's an identity problem, and the pacing problems that it constantly breeds.

Oshi no Ko starts with a fairly chaotic first ... part/prologue, which jumps around between characters and timelines, there's confusing flash forwards on several occasions, numerous quick "mini stories" that are supposed to introduce characters to us, but none of these characters get enough time to build a proper personality. They're both slightly too long to be short and too short to deliver a fully self contained story, so they just feel like you're juggling from one situation to another, from the doctor, his patient, his other patient, their situations, etc. Then the Occult starts happening and more mini stories with fast forwards happen.

This entire prologue sequence ends with a captivatingly tragic, and very well put together moment which I won't spoil, but has rocketed Oshi no Ko to fame when the anime came out. This was a catalytic moment for me, as I was drawn very deeply into the manga and felt emotion in a way that rarely comes to me. I immediately couldn't stop wolfing down the pages, and wanted to know the sequel to this event.

Over one night, I read 50 chapters (and woke up late for work). The next day, I finished the rest.

I haven't had any proper sequel to the event, nearly 120 chapters in.

This isn't due to a lack of the story advancing, although that's certainly a slow story. But the real issue is that as soon as the starter event is done, and we get into the manga proper, it devolves instantly, and never turns away from, a somewhat "mid" teenager story about the showbusiness world. By "mid", I really mean "middle ground" here. It's a bit shounen/monomyth story, with the protagonist needing to reach the heights of showbiz. It's got a lot of shoujo touches, lots of girls, lots of girly things. It's kind of a social commentary with a lot of text à la Akasaka Aka, but also about simple personalities/teenagers trying to survive in showbiz. It's...mid.

No particularly strong style comes out of it. This sadly applies to the characters, who neither delve into cartoonish hyperbole like in Kaguya, nor in great subtlety or complexity. The motivations are simple, a lot of characters are very one note. Including the main ones. The fact that Oshi no Ko is also not a comedy deepens the problem. An occasional joke is thrown yes, but the general pacing is fairly slow, novelty is rare, situations are long, story does captivate but never really amazes. It's not very funny, or entertaining, or has great moments. It's mostly just showbiz situations handled with some charm, some intelligence and a lot of commentary.

Between the start as a tragedy and the followup as a very "shounen/shoujou/monomyth/social commentary"(so "some of everything"), the identity feels very lost. It's like you can remove the entire prologue, restart the story as "2 kids with a tragic past" and lose very little. Or you can keep the whole showbiz story, but then the main tragedy needs to not have hiatuses of 30 chapters.

The pacing thus suffers, and through and through, it feels like an earnest story, but that has too many styles mixed together. It just feels...like a full course meal where everything was served at the same time. There's little "wrong", but also next to nothing that's really remarkable. What was remarkable was unfortunately at the start, and was already quite difficult to follow.

The manga is still alright and deserves to be read, but I wouldn't ever put it above an 8 even if the ending was magnificent. Which is still very fair, but again, if it hadn't come from Akasaka Aka, I'd probably not even have bothered writing anything about it. Ultimately, this feels like a manga that wants to be "good" at everything, art, cutesy, drama, commentary, emotional investment, but it's just ending like a ratatouille. Lots of stuff in it, but little taste that actually comes out. It's more like a long, fairly pleasant, but unremarkable soup.

Have you heard of Kodoku? It's an occult curse that involves using the sole survivor of poisonous insects mixed with other deadly insects. But what if it's not an insect, but a human that's involved? This is Dokumushi, a horror survival manga that explores the theme of kodoku using humans as participants.

To me, the story seems like a typical horror survival manga. A group of characters find themselves in isolated and unknown places, and quickly realize that they must survive there for a certain amount of time. As the story progresses, they discover that only ... one survivor can emerge from the challenges they face, adding to the thrilling intensity of the plot. While the concept of "just survive with everyone" is a bit limited, the characters manage to remain calm until conflicts arise and they begin to turn on each other.

I don't think it's any different from other horror survival stories. What makes it interesting is that there are only a limited number of characters involved from start to finish. Because of this, the story can progress with dynamic and compelling conflicts across the series.

The characters in this survival situation are randomly chosen individuals, each with diverse backgrounds that make them valuable additions to the group's efforts to survive and progress the story. Although the chapter numbers are longer than other horror survival manga, the author manages to describe each participant's background, which enriches the story's developments.

I enjoys the main character's portrayal, noting that their weaknesses and occasional moments of stupidity help move the story forward without giving away any spoilers. I also like how the characters develop over time, adapting to intense situations and considering their chances of survival. It makes the story more dynamic, and I can also see how people could go crazier when facing this type of situation.

I have mixed feelings about the art in this work. It's decent, but nothing special. The artist did a good job of drawing gore without any distortion and managed to create thrilling and horrific scenes through good anatomy and panel composition. The art doesn't have extreme details like dynamic highlights and shadows, but I still consider it good.

The character design is adequate, but not particularly noteworthy. As the story progresses, I have no trouble remembering each character because they have been designed with unique clothing and facial features. The artist also draws lively facial expressions and narrates actions with good anatomy and composition.

The combination of the story's narration and the composition of the panels is good. The panels flow naturally into each other. Although this series is considered horror, the story is visualized in a good way with well-drawn images.

If you enjoy horror survival manga, I have a great recommendation for you. Although the premise may seem repetitive like other survival genres, "Dokumushi" offers its own unique take on the genre, adding a new layer to the usual survival story elements. Additionally, this manga is not very long, about 30 chapters, so you can read it in one sitting or over the weekend. However, I cannot make any promises about whether or not you will feel like you wasted your time after reading it.

I enjoyed this manga because it was short. However, when I first read it, it was not fully translated, which minimized my enjoyment. Fortunately, at the time of writing this review, it has been completely translated.

The thing I generally don't like about this ... author's works is such vulgar scenes, connected to porn and sex an it's always very graphic, unnecessarily graphic and honestly that always puts me off, but the psychology of his work is such an interesting mystery. But, AGAIN, I dont see the point of such graphic and sexual content, expecially when it's related to kids/teenagers. Okay, I guess that, for some parts, author wanted it to be as gruesome as possible, but some things are too much and unnecessary to be seen.
Wasn't a fan of seeing pedophilia in action to be honest, why does every single person have to be fcked up. Any chance u get to think for someome that they are decent, they turn out to be as fucked up as everyone else. There's so many creepy people and interactions here, it's like there's not a single normal person. A lot of characters seem like actual psychopaths. I guess that the author primarily wanted to focus on showing those groups of people.
There's a lot of existentialism involved in this author's work. Almost all of the characters, especially young ones, even kids, have worries about the future, mankind, they are all swallowed up by existential thoughts and dread.

I got the idea that Pun Pun and his family are represented as little funny looking birds (despite everyone else being drawn very detailed and realistically) because, of course, of the contrast the author wanted to create but also because it would be too depressing (yes, even more) if we saw them as normal human beings - they need to be alianated. However, I am not sure how much this theory can hold up since the members of Pun pun's family are not the only ones fucked up. "If it turned out that eveyone else was an alien from another planet , Punpun would, in his current state, have no trouble believing it" - I think those words (that were in the manga) also perfectly represent how alianeted he is from everyone actually that they all seem like aliens to him. He is alienated both physically and mentally.

Quite deep in the story it starts to show that meeting Aiko, at the very beginning of the story, is a crucial part of Pun puns life and story itself, it seems that for that reason solely Pun pun had an eternal existencial crisis (however, he did have many more important reasons to have a crisis, but Aiko seems to be the trigger). I think the whole story was possible just because of Aiko, it begins with her and the ending also shows what a big role she played.

I do have a problem with this author, he always writes about children/teenagers having sex and having perverted thoughts. It's crazy. If I ever say again I want ro read SERIOUS, MATURE manga, I need to write off traumatic ones. Overall, this story made me so sad, it's so depressing. It's scary for the first half of it, then you get used to it being scary in such a way, but after that it gets so so sad. I didn't expect this ending for Pun pun, to be honest, and I am not even sure if it's a fair one.

The point I understood, at the very end, is: the history repeats itself.

Read for the monster (mermaids with monster forms) girls and art. The art was some of the best I've seen in a story, each character being a different sea creature allowed them to be immediately recognizable. The sceneries in the undersea city, the classroooms being bubbles in an etherial sea, the curved bookshelves of the school library as books stretched into the sky, it was all magic. The multiple night sky scenes, both above and under water, are an absolute treasure. This is a series that can be read just for the art alone while disregarding the story. Because damn was the story disappointment.

Haikyuu is a fun, light-hearted manga that manages to teach you important life lessons while being very dynamic and action-packed. Honestly, It has everything you could ask for!

Story - 10
The story follows the Karasuno high school volleyball team through a series of training matches and tournaments. It never feels stagnant and character growth is constant. In every match, we find something new about the players and about the sport itself. You can never predict what's going to happen and even the most inconsequential of matches will have you on the edge of your seat.

Interesting idea, but gets old quick. I loved the beginning dynamic between Patty & Norman. Their relationship was funny that a little demon girl's familiar is a human who's insanely strong and obsessed with research. But after a while each story becomes ridiculously predictable, leaving out any suspense or excitement. Every problem is solved last minute thanks to Norman having just the right item for each situation. My biggest problem is the series has an interesting storyline but the characters remain so dull and undeveloped I found myself getting bored.
