Personally, I find it refreshing that there actually IS romance. I just hope they give us a conclusion in the end, no "the more things change..." crêpe

All the romance-comedy are predictable, but the important thing is that whether they deliver the contents in a good way(like this), or the bad way. All the end, it all comes down to 2 main char develop their feelings and fall in love with each other.

I wish rikka permanently remove that eye patch i think she's way more cuter without it.

and yeah RikkaxYuta FTW!

Romcom = Romantic comedy. It is expected that there will be some romance involved, and the information on MAL clearly states that.

Well, I don't read MAL information, and I don't pay attention to what studio produced what, so I never made that KyoAni ----> romcom connection until it was pointed out to me. I usually judge anime by the content itself, but maybe I will have to start noticing the studio and avoid them like Adam Sandler movies.

I agree with the majority.

This episode started off rather slow and ended splendidly. RikkaxYuuta is a must now and it would be incredibly disappointing to see this show transmogrify into a harem.

I like harems as much as anyone. I came into this show thinking it was going to be a harem.

However Kyoani has done everything possible to suggest "Shinka and Kumin are not rivals for Rikka".

After this episode, KuminxMakoto is more of a possibility than KuminxYutta.

As for Shinka, every time I think she might be a rival for Rikka, Kyoani makes it a point to convince me otherwise.

I know a lot can happen in four episodes. That being said, I am firmly rooting for YuttaxRikka and I will be disappointed if it doesn't happen.

I have a feeling that no one has ever read the actual play.

It was a 3 day relationship between a 13 and 17 year old that resulted in 6 miserable deaths. Not a romance. It's a tragedy.

With that being said, as a completely noncynical person, I hope it doesn't end that way.

This episode is so adorable. It makes up for that tragic bitter taste at the end of the previous episode.

Rikka X Yuuta FTW! Definitely loving the romance in this Anime. So Rikka had seen Yuuta doing his Dark Flame Master thing before they even met in high school. :) This episode made me hnnnnnggggg so much. Fuark, so moe. xD

Really liking Rikka's character. :)

Interesting to see Kumin the sleeping beauty out of all character to stay awake.
Oh yeah, and dekomori looks exactly like a cooked shrimp, it must have hurt like hell XD

If that's the case, I think I should warn you to avoid any anime with "Pico" in it's titles. (Don't want you to find out the hard way now don't I?)

Rikka is having feelings for Yuuta which could also be seen as a fact that she is maturing she is still having a hard time accepting reality but all in time i guess.
Tooka was harsh on her though i can understand why she was a bit to harsh.
But it also looks like she gave up on a lot to take Rikka in on raising Rikka in her current state must be pretty hard for her being seen as the dark priestess isn't helping either.
And it looked like she was having a hard time.

Yuuta is also starting to show feelings for Rikka and to be honest i think they make a nice couple.
Nibutani finally discovered the text on her back and it looks like Dekomoti had to suffer because of that was nice seeing them sleeping together like that afterwords tho.

I am not sure, if he really likes her. He accepts her and her odd behaviour and wants to help her, because he can understand her, but he doesn't want to build up a deeper relationship with her, because he hates himself to much and can't imagine a life together. That's the way I see it.

so rikka went emotional delusion attack on her sister give her sister just knock slap sense that can't change past & try to accept reality cue yuuta stop the battle cue rikka running away.

yuuta follow rikka to train back home while rest doing fireworks, back rub, & oh tomoki jr failed try alone time with kumin.

so yuuta & rikka back home but rikka can't enter her home so spend the night at yuuta with looking his weapons, have food, hand sign draw, & look like rikka is slowing fallen for yuuta?

I'm somewhat disappointed on this episode. Perhaps because I expected something conclusive between Touka and Rikka but instead, I got a lovey dovey scenes on my screen. The romance aura is too overloaded this time. 3/5 (Romance is fine if they done it correctly like in the math test episode. But this, haiz. Last episode it was family problem, then suddenly its back to love problem?) lol

And Touka, you should hit her harder. It's about time you vent your frustration instead of keeping all of it to yourself.

What? WHAAAT?! What is this episode! I died. Too good. Seriously, too cute. The romance... didn't expect it this early. Now I wonder how will it progress. So Nibutani has no partner? That's kinda sad.

Another decent episode, but I feel that the comedy level is dropping and some comedy scene are not as funny as the 1st few episodes.

What happened to the 'drama' last episode, i expect to be at least some resolution but here we got the lovey-dovey episode instead and somehow the romance in this anime doesn't interest me at all.

There is romance in a romantic comedy. fancy that.

Also, the drama is unresolved because it is unresolved. Rikka isn't ready to face reality, so she ran away.

Oh Jesus, could Rikka and Yuuta be any cuter? I was squealing through the whole episode! God, I love cute, fluffy romance. I'm glad that the other girls don't seem to be rivals for Rikka. Now I just hope that she and Yuuta actually end up together in the end. AHHHH~ I'm having a fangirl attack, oh my god... Jeez, I love this show so much. I-I-I can't... *dies*

Episode 12 - 20 minutes nothing happens and then last scene -

Romantic comedy my lololol.
In case you hadn't noticed, the romance development between Yuuta and Rikka is on episode 5 (math test). 4 episode before that, it's only comedy. So instead of continuing the romance momentum from episode 5, they gave us bald head hair problem in episode 6 and proceed with Rikka family drama with serious/heavy atmosphere in episode 7. Then suddenly bam, it's lovey dovey story again. lol


If it has been resolved, I won't be writing here.


She ran way or not, that's not the problem.

I wonder what was the point of making last episode a heavy one? Oh yeah, because they can. :P

The mood changing in this series is like bipolar.

No. Touka is off limit. He should go with that kumin-sempai. And then his friend (that bald guy whose name I can't remember) will go crazy and kill them both before finally committing suicide. lol

No way, he commits suicide after raping Rikka because he is so mind fu***d.

If it was me, I will kick her twice as hard. Still a Chuunibyou? Add another dozen kicks. And Touka is awesome, nuff said. :P

on a side note, if the genre is romcom, people shouldn't be surprised to see romance and comedy. Just what it says on the tin, right?

And this is why westerners should write anime.
The plot twist is - Rikka fell in love in that bald guy.

I'm just surprisd because I had no idea this anime would come into this and most of romantic comedy animes suck ass when it comes to good romance.

Perhaps some people are surprised about the romance overload in Episode 8 because they've already been surprised by the ending in Episode 7 which is clearly brimming with romance and very hilarious.
